Edgware Community Hospital Walk-in Centre re-opens 25 February

Published: 24th February 2022

Our walk-in centre at Edgware Community Hospital will re-open on Friday 25 February 2022 - increasing access for local residents to urgent healthcare appointments and helping relieve pressure on local A&Es.

In December 2021, the NHS in North Central London agreed to temporarily close the walk-in centre due to the ongoing pandemic and additional challenges created by the Omicron variant, including workforce issues due to staff absences.

We are very pleased that we are now in a position to re-open the centre and provide nurse-led clinics seven days a week, from 08:00 to 18:00. Bookable appointments have been established and patients can visit the NHS 111 service online or call NHS 111 to book an appointment. Walk-in clinics are also available however we will need to prioritise booked appointments and urgent cases, so there may be delays. We strongly advise that you telephone 111 in the first instance before visiting the service.

The service is available to all patients needing to access care for all minor injuries and illness in children (aged over 12 months) and adults. All visitors must continue to wear a face covering and follow social distancing rules when accessing care at the centre. You can read more guidance for patients and visitors here

For more information about appointments, visit the NHS 111 service online or call NHS 111. You can read more about the centre on the CLCH website: www.clch.nhs.uk/services/walk-in-centres
