The Parkview Children’s Walk-in Clinic pilot came to a planned conclusion on 27 June, marking the end of a successful pilot designed to test accessible, same-day care for younger children.

The pilot was introduced as part of a winter resilience effort, and was set up to help manage seasonal pressures on local health services for a specific period. The pilot has provided valuable insights into local demand for urgent, walk-in care for children.

We extend our sincere thanks to the community and all partner organisations for their support throughout its duration.

To help absorb some of the demand previously met by Parkview, Parsons Green Walk-in Centre will expand its age criteria from 30 June, now welcoming children aged two years and above (previously 12 years old and over). This change will offer families a convenient alternative for non-urgent care and help alleviate pressure on emergency services.

While the Parkview pilot is ending, our support continues through this expansion, ensuring families still have access to flexible, same-day support for minor illnesses and injuries—without the need for a scheduled appointment.

We remain committed to improving access to urgent care borough-wide and delivering the best care to our patients.
