New walk-in clinic for children aged 0 to 5 opens in Hammersmith and Fulham

Parents and families in Hammersmith and Fulham now have access to a dedicated walk-in clinic for children aged 0 to 5, making healthcare more accessible for the youngest members of the community.

Parkview Children’s Walk-In Centre is a brand-new pilot programme designed to provide care for minor illnesses and injuries without the need for an appointment. It will run over the winter period until March 2025, the clinic aims to offer parents and caregivers peace of mind by delivering timely medical attention in a convenient location. 

Who can use the service? 

The clinic is exclusively for children aged 0 to 5 years who either live in Hammersmith and Fulham or are registered with a GP in the area. With a team of experienced GPs and advanced practice staff, the centre is equipped to handle minor ailments and injuries, ensuring children receive quality care in a welcoming environment.

The walk-in service removes the stress of scheduling appointments, allowing parents to seek immediate help when their child is unwell. This flexibility is especially valuable for working families or those faced with busy schedules. Additionally, the clinic provides a local solution that reduces the need for A&E visits for non-urgent issues, freeing up hospital resources for more critical cases. 

Location and opening hours: 

The clinic is conveniently located on the ground floor of the Parkview Health and Wellbeing Centre at 56 Bloemfontein Road, London W12 7FG. 

Opening hours and contact details: 

Monday to Friday 1pm - 5pm(closed on weekends and bank holidays.) 

Parents can call the centre on0208 102 6000, and visit via public transport using bus routes 283 (Bloemfontein Road) and 228 (Ellerslie Road).

This clinic represents a step forward in local healthcare, focusing on making high-quality care accessible to families when they need it most. The pilot programme will run for over a year allowing the community to experience its benefits firsthand and provide feedback for future initiatives.
