Adams ward

Starting 4 Dec, CLCH will be providing a new service at Finchley Memorial Hospital with the opening of Adams ward, a 17 bed 'discharge to assess' ward.

Cathy Walker, Divisional Director of Operations elaborated, "Adams Ward will provide short term care and support to people who no longer require acute hospital admission but may require further assistance with their activities of daily living prior to transfer to their own home or into the community environment. The ward is also able to support patients in the community who fit the 'discharge to assess pathway' and would benefit from a step-up ward rather than an acute hospital admission.

Adams Ward is a fantastic environment and CLCH has been working closely with Barnet CCG to make sure that the service is designed with high quality care arrangements in place".

Adams ward will be a great new addition to Finchley Memorial Hospital and will benefit the local community by reducing the pressure on the acute hospitals. Patients will also have the benefit of care plans more tailored to their individual needs aiding their recovery and helping them to make a smoother transition home.

A very warm welcome to all the staff joining us on this exciting new journey and thank you for all your hard work in getting Adams Ward up and running.
