National Administrative Professionals Day 2025: celebrating the Executive Business Support Team

Published: 22nd April 2025

Ahead of National Administrative Professionals Day tomorrow 23 April 2025 – a chance to recognise and thank the incredible administrative and clerical staff who play a vital role across the Trust. We’re proud to shine a spotlight on the Executive Business Support team who's dedication and hard work keeps the heart of the organisation beating smoothly.

Behind every successful meeting, every carefully managed diary, and every well-prepared agenda, are the skilled hands of our Executive Business team – Clara Williams, Patricia Mustafa, Anne-Marie Francis, Eileen Molloy, Daisy Pearce and Waqar Ahmed. They are the calm, professional presence who make sure everything runs like clockwork.

Their work includes meticulously managing busy diaries, coordinating meetings, collating essential documents, preparing board and committee papers, and taking accurate minutes – all of which are vital to keeping the Trust running effectively.

Clara Williams, Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer & Trust Vice-Chair said:

"The role of executive assistant to the CEO and Trust Vice-chair is varied and fast pace and is about mastering various responsibilities to truly excel. My role is to be the CEO & Vice-chair’s trusted right-hand, managing their schedules, overseeing communications, and providing high-level administrative support to ensure their time optimised and operations run smoothly. No two-days are ever the same. It is rewarding to know that the work we do helps the leaders of the organisation to focus on leading the Trust and delivering safe, effective care for our communities.”

Patricia Mustafa, Business Manager to Charlie Sheldon, Chief Nursing Officer & Chief People Officer said:

“This role is all about being flexible, organised, and ready for anything. We’re often the first point of contact for the Execs, so it’s important to be approachable and solution-focused. I take pride in creating a sense of calm and order in a busy environment – it helps the whole team thrive.”

Anne-Marie Francis, Business Administrator for Laura Churchill, Director of Strategy, Partnerships and Integration said:

"It’s great to be part of such a collaborative and supportive team. We work hard to make sure things run smoothly, whether it’s preparing papers for a high-level meeting or making sure diaries align for crucial conversations. It’s about being one step ahead and knowing that we’re contributing to something bigger.”

Eileen Molloy, Business Manager to Jenny Greenshields Chief Finance Officer and Director of Corporate Services said:

"What I love most is the sense of purpose. We might not be on the front line, but we’re helping to keep the engine running behind the scenes. Being part of a close-knit team that supports the Execs – and, in turn, the entire organisation – is something I’m really proud of.”

Waqar Ahmed, Business Manager to Nicola Kemp, Chief Medical Officer said:

"There’s a real satisfaction in knowing that the work we do enables key decisions to happen smoothly. From coordinating last-minute changes to making sure everyone’s in the right place at the right time, it’s all about being proactive and dependable. It’s a role where you really feel valued – even if most of what we do goes unseen.”

Daisy Pearce, Operations Project Manager and interim Business Support to Cathy Walker, Chief Operating Officer said:

"One of the most rewarding parts of the job is building strong relationships – not just with the Execs, but across the whole Trust. We’re often the link between teams, helping to connect people and information. It’s great to know that our support helps create a more joined-up, efficient organisation.”
