On 1st December 2016, the Trust held a co-design event which brought together staff and patients to brainstorm on ways to improve waiting time satisfaction in our walk-in centres (WiCs) and urgent care centres (UCCs).  The session started by viewing film clips of staff and patients who were interviewed prior to the event to get feedback and understand their views.

Three key areas identified for improvement are;

  • communication and information
  • waiting room environment
  • personal and professional development of staff

The project will continue to work closely with working groups comprising patients and staff for better future waiting times experiences and improved satisfaction rates at our WiCS/UCCs.
