We are pleased to announce that James Benson has been appointed as Chief Executive of Central London Community Healthcare Trust (CLCH). His appointment follows an open and competitive recruitment process by the Board of CLCH in liaison with the North West London Integrated Care Board and NHS England.

James has served as Interim Chief Executive since January 2022 and takes up the substantive position following Andrew Ridley’s resignation.

He has worked for CLCH since it was founded as a Trust, fulfilling a number of senior management roles, including Chief Operating Officer, Director of Improvement and Divisional Director of Operations. James has also worked in a number of specialist clinical roles, having started his healthcare career as a speech therapist.

Angela Greatley, CLCH Chair, said: “James is well known to our staff and partners across the integrated care systems that we provide services in, and I am certain that they will welcome this important appointment.

“As Chief Executive, James will provide leadership of the organisation in support of patient care.”

James Benson, incoming Chief Executive said: “It is an absolute privilege and pleasure to lead the organisation that I have worked in for many years.

“The delivery of successful integrated services for children, families and adults as well as the support of our amazing staff remains my core focus.”

James will take up the substantive Chief Executive position from 1 January 2023.
