Filipino nurses play a pivotol role in healthcare systems all over the world and the CapitalNurse International Recruitment team has released a new video outlining the role of a Community Nurse in London.

Emjee Nool is featured in the video 'A Day in the Life of an Internationally Recruited Community Nurse in London,' which highlights how she was able to specialise in community nursing after arriving in London as an internationally trained nurse from the Phillipines. The video aims to encourage other international nurses to follow the same path.

For Emjee, the UK has always been her dream destination and it is one of the reasons she has worked so hard throughout her journey. Reacting to her success, she said: "I’ve always wanted to come and work in the UK because it is so different and unique. It’s been my dream ever since my uncles travelled there when I was 7 or 8 years old.”

Emjee is one of the 20,000 Filipinos employed by the NHS as nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals.

Community nurses have a varied career where no two days are the same. They work autonomously to care for a patient’s holistic needs, respond to the needs of vulnerable adults, and ensure continuity of care following referral from acute care, rehabilitation units, GPs and other agencies.
