CLCH wins NHS Pastoral Care Quality Award for international recruitment programme
This week the Trust was awarded the NHS Pastoral Care Quality Award for our ongoing commitment to providing best practice pastoral support to our internationally recruited staff.
This award recognises the incredible work being carried out at the Trust to ensure our colleagues receive enhanced and tailored pastoral care as they start their NHS journey and progress in their career.
Charlie Sheldon, Chief Nursing Officer at CLCH said:
“This award is testament to the International Recruitment team, CLCH Academy and clinical team commitment to the welfare of our overseas recruits.
“Our nurses and AHPs have a wealth of experience developed across different areas of the world and I am honoured that they have chosen to bring their expertise to our Trust. I am so happy to know that they feel supported as they start their journey in the NHS.”
Holly Ashforth, Deputy Chief Nursing Officer (Director of Patient Experience and Education) at CLCH said:
“Our internationally recruited staff have a great work ethic and dedication to the communities they care for. They are an integral part of our teams.
“The right pastoral care is essential to making sure our internationally recruited staff feel welcomed, valued and supported to develop in their careers in the NHS – which is why this award means so much.”
