Ruth Butler, who works as a school nurse for CLCH in Westminster, has won the prestigious Child Health Award at the RCNi Awards for her work on the Health Matters website.

The site is a online resource providing confidential access to the school nurse and health and wellbeing advice for school aged children, plus immunisation forms, health policies and support for parents and carers.

The awards, held annually recognises and celebrates nurse innovators. Ruth's category, sponsored by specialist journal Nursing Children and Young People (NCYP), focuses on innovation that improves the care of children and young people.
Janet Lewis, Divisional Director of Operations at CLCH said: "We're enormously proud of Ruth's drive and innovative thinking that stimulated the development of Health Matters. It's testament to her commitment to school nursing and to helping improve the school nursing services that are available for young people.
"I'd like to congratulate her for this fantastic achievement".
The Health Matters service is being re-launched at the end of the summer, into a new hub of information and support across CLCH's 0-19 services.
