National Administrative Professionals Day 2025

Published: 23rd April 2025

It's National Administrative Professionals Day and CLCH is proud to recognise and celebrate the dedicated administrative and clerical colleagues who are vital to everything we do.

From service hubs to clinical teams, from executive offices to support functions – our admin professionals are vital to the Trust's success, ensuring that services run smoothly and patients receive safe, timely, and effective care.

To mark this important day, we’re releasing a special video message from James Benson, Chief Executive, who personally thanks all our admin staff for their hard work, professionalism, and dedication. The video also features several CLCH administrators, who share insights into their roles and what they love most about the work they do.

Jade Lawrence-Macduff, Senior Business Support to Kathleen Isaac-Director of Operations, who has helped reinvigorate a space for admin staff to connect and grow said:

"Early this year we relaunched the Admin Forum in the North Central Division. We felt this was important not only to highlight the development opportunities and support available for Administrators to develop better ways of working, but to let them know that they are seen and important. A lot of focus is put on clinical staff and at times Administrators can feel left behind. It is important that we acknowledge and champion the staff that are the backbone of the Trust."

We also hear from Saffia Ahmed, who manages a Clinical Service Unit Admin team, and reflects on the development of her team:

"It has been a year since I took on the responsibility of managing the Clinical Service Unit Administrative team. I work closely with the Admin Team Leads, who manages Planned Care, Unplanned Care and Specialist Services. We faced many challenges initially, but the team is now fully trained and experienced in delivering excellent service to both patients and clinicians. The Administrative team are highly knowledgeable, understand the needs of the service, and are able to reassure patients effectively."

For K Isaac, Director of Operations for North Central Division, the day holds special meaning - not only in recognising others, but in reflecting on her own journey that began in an administrative role:

"I started my career as a personal assistant to three directors of operations in a London-based homelessness charity. This gave me the opportunity to learn all about the services we provided, meet with staff and service users across the charity, and to help make a positive difference."

"From that role, I progressed into business development roles, working in different charities supporting people experiencing homelessness, children and young people, and adults with learning disabilities and mental health support needs. I moved to CLCH in 2018 as Head of Business Development, working on the mobilisation of services in Hertfordshire. That led to experience in operations, and I was successful in applying for the role of Deputy Director of Operations, and now Director of Operations in North Central."

"I am delighted to be celebrating National Administrative Professionals Day! Our admin and non-clinical staff are vital in enabling CLCH to deliver high-quality care to our patients and residents every single day. Your dedication, skills, and experience keep everything running smoothly - whether you are working in one of our SPAs, supporting clinical teams, or working in a corporate function - your hard work does not go unnoticed."

"Thank you for your unwavering commitment and for making CLCH better for our staff and patients every day. I am passionate about supporting our admin and non-clinical colleagues to develop their skills and progress in their careers. The sky is the limit!"
