School nurses will be asking about your mental health at every contact. If you are struggling with your mental health then your school nurse can offer you additional support in school. During these meetings it is an opportunity for you to express how you are feeling without judgement and help you to make sense of what you are going through at that time.
If you require further support then your school nurse can advise you about additional services like CAMHS, Catch22 or Place2be that also work with schools and refer you to them. If you wish, your school nurse can work together with these other teams to provide you with effective, coordinated care.
We provide advice and support to all Hammersmith and Fulham families during the age of 5 to 18 years old who attend a Hammersmith and Fulham Primary or Secondary School.
