Update on the status of Pembridge Hospice

Published: 12th September 2019

From the CEO of CLCH NHS Trust, Andrew Ridley

"Local Clinical Commissioning Groups have led a review of palliative care services that has involved CLCH, other local hospice providers, GPs, patients and carers. The review is now finished and local CCGs, in consultation with local people and partners will need to decide how to take the findings of the review forward.

The inpatient unit which closed because of lack of consultant medical cover will remain closed pending the outcome of the review.  Our community based services and day hospice continue to operate normally.
The many patients and families that benefit from the excellent care provided through the Pembridge palliative care service and our valued staff, remain our absolute priority.”
