Roehampton Family Hub recently welcomed a Malaysian delegation keen to explore how Family Hubs in the UK support children and families through integrated community care.

At the visit, organised by Wandsworth Council, staff met with the Honourable Datuk Hajah Rosey binti Haji Yunus, Malaysia’s Deputy Minister for Women and Early Childhood Development to showcase the community care they offer to families in the local area.

During their visit, the Deputy Minister and her delegation toured the Roehampton Family Hub, engaging with families who use its services. They met representatives from the CLCH’s Wandsworth 0–19 team, including health visitors and members of the Family Nurse Partnership, to learn more about the collaborative approach that helps give children and young people the best start in life.

The Honourable Datuk Hajah Rosey binti Haji Yunus, Deputy Minister for Women and Early Childhood Development, said: “I am delighted to see first-hand how Wandsworth’s Family Hubs are delivering such comprehensive and accessible support for children and families. The integrated approach, with services working together in one place, is inspiring and provides valuable lessons that we can take home to strengthen our own support systems for families in Malaysia.”

Adenike Aderibigbe, Children’s Clinical Lead for Wandsworth 0-19 Services at CLCH, said: “We were proud to present the variety of services we deliver through the Family Hub, showcasing the benefits of integrated working with other Early Years Services. The Minister and her delegation expressed their interest and were impressed by how the multidisciplinary team based in the Hub, including psychologists, speech and language therapists, midwives, and support workers, collaborates to provide seamless, holistic support to families. This joined-up approach not only enhances outcomes for children and parents but also exemplifies how community-based services can be delivered efficiently and equitably to all children in our community.”
