Parsons Green Walk-in Centre expands access to include children aged two years and above

Published: 1st July 2025

From 30 June, Parsons Green Walk-in Centre has expanded its age criteria to welcome children aged two years and above - down from the previous minimum age of 12. This change significantly broadens access to non-emergency care for local families.

The Walk-In Service at Parsons Green eliminates the need for scheduled appointments, offering vital flexibility for working parents and caregivers. It provides a reassuring and convenient alternative to A&E for minor illnesses and injuries, helping to reduce strain on hospital emergency departments.

This change follows the planned closure of the Parkview Children’s Walk-in Centre pilot on 27 June and is designed to absorb some of the demand previously served by that service. Families can continue to access timely, high-quality care for minor illnesses and injuries.

Rachel Dines, Head of Clinical Services - Bedded Rehab and Walk-In Centres at CLCH said: “We are pleased to expand the service to younger children and we remain committed to improving access to care across the borough. This change is part of our broader effort to ensure families can continue receive timely, appropriate support when they need it.”
