We are pleased to announce the appointment of a two Managing Directors – Clive Grimshaw for Harrow and Rita Thakaria for Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea.

Clive Grimshaw and Rita Thakaria will drive an ambitious programme aimed at breaking down traditional barriers between healthcare providers to deliver more seamless care for local residents. Working within the North West London Integrated Care System, these appointments mark a significant step in reshaping how healthcare is delivered across Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, and Harrow.

Laura Churchill, Chief Strategy Officer at CLCH, said: "This appointment represents our commitment to truly integrated care that improves quality, experience and outcomes for our local communities. The managing directors will be instrumental in bringing together NHS services, local councils, and community organisations to address health inequalities and develop more effective care pathways.”

The managing directors will oversee partnership development between multiple stakeholders including hospital Trusts, primary care networks, mental health services, local councils, and voluntary sector organisations. They will be working to create a more productive, person-centred healthcare system that better serves the diverse needs of residents in these boroughs.

In his previous role, Clive Grimshaw served as the Strategic Lead for Health, Wellbeing and Care at London Councils for nine years, where he worked closely with leaders, health and wellbeing board Chairs, chief executives and senior officers across London's 33 local authorities. His experience includes leading the transfer of public health commissioning, developing the London Health and Care Vision, and establishing collaborative approaches for accommodating asylum seekers and refugees, including those fleeing the war in Ukraine.

Clive said: "I'm passionate about placing partnerships at the heart of our work and developing solutions that draw on the experiences and attributes of all. I remain committed to improving the health and wellbeing of communities through closer connection and partnership."

Rita Thakaria brings a wealth of clinical and leadership experience, having qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist in 1994. Her clinical expertise includes specialised work in acquired dysphagia and serving as a visiting lecturer in Bilingualism at UCL. Since April 2022, she has served as Partnership Director in a joint appointment across health and care in Thurrock, where she led place-based integration, delivering integrated neighbourhood teams and a nationally recognised integrated hub.

Rita said: "As a Speech and Language Therapist, I will always seek to raise the voice of the most vulnerable and ensure all voices at the table are heard. Having provided care and support to my parents through frailty, I am committed to reducing bureaucracy and duplication, making health and social care pathways strengths-based, simpler and richer."

The appointments come as part of the broader national movement toward integrated care systems designed to improve population health and tackle persistent health inequalities. Clive and Rita will join the team at CLCH in June 2025.
