Committed to our communities: celebrating our colleagues long service to the NHS
This year we honoured over 80 colleagues who have reached a remarkable 25 years of service to CLCH. These staff have been recognised across the Trust and have each been awarded a £100 John Lewis voucher as a small gesture of gratitude.
Many of the awardees attended celebrations this year with James Benson, CEO, and Trust Chairs, where they received their awards and caught up with colleagues from across the Trust, sharing their stories of working in the NHS over the years.
Chief Executive Officer, James Benson said:
“Over the last 25 years, the NHS supported communities through huge moments in history including HIV research and treatment, the Grenfell Tower fire and the Covid-19 pandemic.
"Our staff are the life force of the Trust and allow CLCH to make a positive impact in the lives of the people we care for, when it matters most.”
Dr Rachel Day, Senior Dental Officer, said:
“I’ve been with the service 25 years, it’s a really good atmosphere working as a team, and it’s a team approach, none of us can really do it on our own. It’s the way we all pull together. It’s got to be the teams that’s the real reason I’ve stayed here as long as I have.”
Varsha Shah, Specialist Health Practioner for Brent Health Visiting (Outer North West Division) said:
“I started in 1996 in community.
“We had manual records so I remember lugging these around, taking them into school, and some days when on foot taking them in a trolly. Now it’s all digital!
“There was a community spirit at CLCH. I still meet people I worked with, you become like a family.”
Edereth Kironde-Dei, School Nurse (Outer North West Division) said:
“What I love about the relationships I have made at CLCH is that even after you leave you get invited to events, the friendship never ends and that’s really important.”
Congratulations to all recipients and thank you for your service to the NHS!
