CLCH welcomes new Non-Executive Director to the Trust Board

NHS England has confirmed the appointment of Professor Simon Woldman as Non-Executive Director at CLCH. 

Simon is a consultant cardiologist and Director of Barts Heart Centre – one of the largest cardiovascular centres in Europe. He has 36 years’ NHS experience and has overseen clinical transformation programmes that have revolutionised clinical services. 

Dick Sorabji, Vice Chair of CLCH, said: 

“Simon brings a wealth of clinical leadership and transformation experience to CLCH’s Board. In previous roles he led improvements to community care in north London. This experience will be a major contribution in helping us to deliver our new strategy and our commitment to creating a flourishing Neighbourhood Health Service for the benefits of our staff and the communities we serve. 

“I’d like to thank outgoing Non-Executive Director Jane Slatter, who has served on the CLCH Board since March 2018 for her vital contribution to our workforce and to fostering continuous improvement in the quality of our services. My very best wishes to Jane for the future.” 

Simon joins the Board in April 2025 and will chair the Quality and Safety committee. He joins Greg Rubins, Harpreet Sood and Kemi Adenubi, who were appointed to CLCH’s Board in 2024. 

The term of the appointments is three years, until July 2028, and the roles receive remuneration of £13,000 per annum. Simon has no declared political activity.
