CLCH has been ranked an impressive joint 4th in the health and social care category and joint 46th overall in Stonewall's Top 100 Employers 2016.
The annual index showcases Britain's best employers for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender staff. Twenty staff from CLCH are members of its 'Rainbow Network', an advocacy lobbying and support network for LGBT employees and patients.
Peter Coles, Interim Chief Executive at CLCH said: "It's a great achievement to be listed as one of the leading health and social care organisations and within the Top 50 overall in Stonewall's employers index.
"It shows our ongoing commitment as an organisation that supports a diverse workforce and a safer, positive culture for our LGBT employees, patients and service users. I'd like to extend my gratitude and congratulations to all those involved in making this possible"
The Top 100 list is based on the results of Stonewall's Workplace Equality index. This year's is the twelfth published by the charity, whereby entrants compile a submission demonstrating their organisation's performance against a set of best practice criteria accompanied by supporting evidence.
