CLCH attains highest rating level in new national performance framework

Published: 9th September 2025

CLCH has attained a ‘segment 1’ rating in the newly published NHS National Oversight Framework (NOF).

The new national framework is a way of assessing NHS providers based on several metrics, such as an organisation’s financial position, operational performance and quality of care.  The publication of the framework and an interactive performance dashboard is designed to drive transparency and improvement in NHS performance across the country.

Each NHS provider is allocated a segment rating of 1 to 4, with 1 being the highest performing and 4 the lowest. There is a fifth segment for trusts in a recovery support programme.

The segment rating informs each provider’s position in an overall national league table of trusts. CLCH is positioned fourth in the country in the overall league table of community and mental health trusts.

The rating is updated quarterly, once all official operating statistics for the previous quarter have been published.

James Benson, Chief Executive Officer at Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust, said:

“I am delighted that the hard work of staff to deliver high-quality care, financial balance and strong operational performance has been reflected in the Trust’s segment 1 rating. Thank you to all staff and volunteers who continue to support patients at every stage of their life. Together, we will enable thriving communities that give our children the best start in life and adults greater independence.”
