I am looking to find out as much detail and information as possible on the nutrition and diet information of the prison population. Cross-referencing has shown that Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust provides or assists with healthcare at HMP Wormwood Scrubs.

Please break down the data by calendar year (i.e. 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023), by age group, cost and prison where possible / applicable, as identified in each question.

Specifically, my requests are as follows:

1.     By year, age group and prison, how many prisoners are identified as having type 2 diabetes?

2.     By year, age group and prison, how many prisoners have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes whilst they are in prison?

3.     By year, age group and prison, how many prescriptions for Ozempic have been given to prisoners? Please detail the cost of one Ozempic prescription.

4.     By year, age group and prison, how many prescriptions for Wegovy have been given to prisoners? Please detail the cost of one Wegovy prescription.

5.     By year, age group and prison, how many prescriptions for semaglutide have been given to prisoners, not including the Ozempic and Wegovy brands? Please detail the cost of one dose of each of these prescriptions. 

6.     By year, age group and prison, how many prisoners have been given physical health support for type 2 diabetes, such as a meal plan or an exercise regime? 

7.     By year, age group and prison, how many prisoners are identified when entering prison as being obese?

8.     By year, age group and prison, how many prisoners are identified when entering prison as being overweight?

9.     By year, age group and prison, how many prisoners are identified when entering prison as being underweight? 

10.  By year, age group and prison, how many prisoners are identified when leaving prison as being obese?

11.  By year, age group and prison, how many prisoners are identified when leaving prison as being overweight? 

12.  By year, age group and prison, how many prisoners are identified when leaving prison as being underweight?

If the information is not available broken down to each specific prison then please provide the general yearly data for the prison population. 

Please assign age groups by whatever correlates best with your records. If this does not matter then please assign age groups by decades, i.e 20-29, 30-39, et cetera.

Central London Community Healthcare NHS trust does not provide services at HMP Wormwood Scrubs. Please contact Care UK as they had taken over the service from our organisation in 2016.
