I am writing to make an official request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. I seek details regarding the use of private healthcare providers by your Trust in relation to the delivery of mental health assessments and services. Specifically, I would like to request the following information:

Inner Northwest

 ADHD and Autism Assessments:

1. • Please provide information on the current ADHD and Autism assessment backlog within your Trust.

268 people currently waiting for adult autism assessment (CLCH does not provide adult ADHD service within the Inner Northwest divisions) 

• Does your Trust currently use private healthcare providers to assist in delivering ADHD and Autism assessments (for Adults & Children)?

Currently private healthcare providers are not being used to assist in delivering ADHD and Autism Assessments, private healthcare providers have been used in previous years

1. • Please provide the names of these private healthcare providers.
   • Please specify the cost per ADHD assessment and cost per Autism assessment.
   • Provide details regarding the scope and duration of any contractual agreements with these providers, including the turnaround timeframe for completion of outsourced ADHD and Autism assessments.
   • What is the Trust annual budget to outsource ADHD and Autism assessments and what is the current annual spend?
   • How many ADHD and Autism assessments are outsourced each month and is their scope to increase this number? If so, by how many?
   • Do your current provider/s have or offer the capacity to address the backlog within the Trusts required timeframes? 
   • Please provide the name and contact information of the individual/team for the Trust who would manage the ADHD/Autism assessments (for Adults & Children).

Outer North West - Brent

 

1. • Please provide information on the current ADHD and Autism assessment backlog within your Trust.

We provide Autism assessments in under 5y olds only in Brent. We are not commissioned to provide ADHD assessments in Brent. The current ASD backlog is 152 CYP.

 

1. • Does your Trust currently use private healthcare providers to assist in delivering ADHD and Autism assessments (for Adults & Children)?

Yes - Brent services currently do use a private healthcare provider to assist with Autism assessments in under 5 year olds only

CHS Healthcare – part of the Xyla Group

 

 

1. • Please specify the cost per ADHD assessment and cost per Autism assessment.

CHS Healthcare – part of the Xyla Group only provide ASD assessments under this contract: Approx 2K per assessment– ADIR and ADOS

 

1. • Provide details regarding the scope and duration of any contractual agreements with these providers, including the turnaround timeframe for completion of outsourced ADHD and Autism assessments.

6-month contract currently in place- ending Oct 24 as no further funding available

 

1. • What is the Trust annual budget to outsource ADHD and Autism assessments and what is the current annual spend? 0

 

1. • How many ADHD and Autism assessments are outsourced each month and is their scope to increase this number? If so, by how many?

 

This is a block contract of 120 ASD assessment in 6/12

ADHD and Autism assessment service is not provided within South West Division Merton

Currently private healthcare providers are not being used to provide ADHD and Autism Assessments within Merton
