Response
Thank you for your request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. You asked for information from January 2015 onwards about the number of patients diagnosed with CIDP, Guillain-Barré Syndrome and other neuropathy-related conditions, including a yearly breakdown and whether patients were treated as inpatients or outpatients.
After checking with the relevant teams, we can confirm that Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust does not hold this information. CLCH is a community healthcare provider and does not carry out neurological diagnoses or record inpatient or outpatient neurology activity. While some patients may receive community-based rehabilitation from CLCH following diagnosis elsewhere, diagnostic and neurology activity data is not held by this Trust. As a result, the information requested is not held by CLCH.
For information relating to diagnoses, inpatient admissions, outpatient referrals, or neurology department activity, you may wish to contact the relevant acute NHS Trusts or secondary care providers, who are responsible for delivering and recording these services. If you are dissatisfied with the way your request has been handled, you have the right to request an internal review. Requests for internal review should be submitted within 40 working days of this response. If you remain dissatisfied following an internal review, you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
