Request

I wish to make a freedom of information request and would be grateful if you could provide the following information:

 

The number of referrals made by your NHS Trust to other authorities - such as the police or social services - when there was a suspicion that a child is a victim of exploitation (sexual, criminal, gang-based grooming) for the years 2010 (or earliest available year of data) - 2024 inclusive.

 

The number of risks assessments conducted on children where there was concern that the had been the victim of child sexual exploitation (using the same timeframe as above).

 

Details of your NHS Trusts' CSE safeguarding arrangements, including work in multi-agency partnerships.

 

The number of staff employed by your NHS Trust who have received training on CSE.

1 The number of referrals made by your NHS Trust to other authorities - such as the police or social services - when there was a suspicion that a child is a victim of exploitation (sexual, criminal, gang-based grooming) for the years 2010 (or earliest available year of data) - 2024 inclusive. Number of referrals made between 2011- 2024 = 12
   
2 The number of risks assessments conducted on children where there was concern that they had been the victim of child sexual exploitation (using the same timeframe as above). CLCH staff attend all Local Authority organised multi-agency meetings regarding child exploitation; Missing panels, exploitation Vulnerability and violence meetings, Multi agency risk, violence and exploitation meeting and Multi-agency child exploitation. Young people at risk are discussed in these meetings.  
 
 
3 Details of your NHS Trusts' CSE safeguarding arrangements, including work in multi-agency partnerships. CLCH has in place a safeguarding children team in all boroughs in which the Trust provides services. These staff have had training in CSE and provide training to our frontline staff.  
 
2. CLCH has in place a Child Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse Policy which is available to our staff on the Trust intranet
 
3. The CLCH safeguarding team provide advice and support to frontline staff where there are concerns about CSE and when a safeguarding referral is required.
 
4. All CLCH staff working with children have mandatory safeguarding supervision so the opportunity to discuss cases where practitioners have concerns about CSE or where there may be professional differences of opinion.
 
5. CLCH safeguarding practitioners attend local authority monthly /ad-hoc meetings in relation to children where there are concerns about CSE /missing children /criminal exploitation.
 
6. CLCH is a standing members of all local safeguarding children's partnerships in the boroughs where the Trust provides children's services. The CLCH safeguarding team attend
 
   
4 The number of staff employed by your NHS Trust who have received training on CSE. Training compliance is 98% will have received training commensurate to their role (end of April 2025 data)
