Request

I work as a Medical/Technical Product Manager at EDX Medical. I am reaching out to inquire about the costs associated with diagnostic tests for testicular cancer within the NHS. Specifically, I am interested in understanding the pricing structure for tests such as ultrasound scans, tumor marker blood tests (AFP, HCG, LDH), other serum marker tests (LH FSH, Testosterone, FBC, UE), and any additional imaging (CT scans for chest, abdomen, Pelvis and Brain, MRI) that may be required for diagnosis.

This information would be valuable for our ongoing research and understanding of diagnostic pathways within the UK healthcare system. I would appreciate any details you can provide regarding standard NHS pricing, as well as any variations between NHS-funded and private patient options.

Response

This would be a Nil response, as Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH) does not provide or hold information relating to delivering services related to diagnostic testing for testicular cancer.

CLCH does not commission or perform diagnostic tests such as:

  • Ultrasound scans
  • Tumour marker blood tests (AFP, HCG, LDH)
  • Other serum marker tests (LH, FSH, Testosterone, FBC, U&E)
  • Imaging such as CT scans (chest, abdomen, pelvis, brain) or MRI

These services typically fall under the remit of acute hospital trusts or pathology/imaging departments within specialist or secondary care providers.
