Francis Fernando, Head of Nursing for the bedded units in the North Central Division, has been named one of the 50 most influential Black, Asian and minority ethnic people in health by the Health Service Journal.

On Thursday 4 November, Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH) celebrated the efforts of its NHS staff and their achievements from the past year. The Trust’s annual Staff Awards ceremony is key highlight in the Trust’s calendar. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the ceremony was held virtually for the second year running to recognise the phenomenal efforts of colleagues across London and Hertfordshire.

In October 2020, as part of the Trust’s strategic priorities to achieve a more sustainable, greener future, CLCH launched its ‘Green Plan.’ This set out a commitment to reducing the Trust’s impact on the environment, acknowledging the significant amount of waste and carbon from our services, travel and transport, both directly and through our supply chain.

Today (Friday 22 October 2021) is International Stammering Awareness Day – an annual event to raise awareness of stammering across the world. According to figures from stutteringhelp.org, it is estimated that worldwide, around 70 million people have a stammer or stutter. This accounts for around one percent of the world's population. 

CLCH is proud to be the joint first NHS Trust in London to have been awarded Level 2 (out of 3) of the NHS Towards Excellence Procurement Standards.  The NHS Procurement & Commercial Standards provide a framework for consistent approaches and practices, delivering benefits across the NHS in procurement performance.
