Refurbished CLCH dental clinic at St Charles Centre For Health & Wellbeing opens with expanded facilities

The newly refurbished CLCH dental clinic located at St Charles Centre for Health & Wellbeing has officially opened, marking the completion of a major redevelopment project that has transformed the clinic into a modern, accessible, and expanded service for dental care and training.

The clinic has undergone a full refurbishment, converting the previous two-surgery layout into a state-of-the-art four-surgery clinic. The entire wing has been redesigned to support a wider range of dental services and to better meet the needs of the local community.

The new clinic will provide a referral -based service for:

• adult special care dental services
• paediatric dentistry
• support for dental speciality postgraduate training
• undergraduate training placements for dental therapists
• Out of Hours Emergency Dental Care (evenings and weekends) via 111.

To access the adult special care service and paediatric dentistry, patients must have a referral made from one of the following: dentists, doctors, social workers, care staff, district/community nurses, or any other health and social care professionals, subject to meeting the service's eligibility criteria.

As part of the development, Colville Dental Clinic has also relocated to the new St Charles site. The move brings significant improvements in facilities and accessibility, including enhanced wheelchair access and hoist equipment, ensuring a more inclusive environment for patients with additional needs.
