Harrow Cardiac Rehabilitation team recognised at Healthy Harrow Awards 2026
The Harrow Cardiac Rehabilitation team has been recognised at the Healthy Harrow Awards 2026, winning the Ongoing Health Need category.
The Healthy Harrow Awards celebrate individuals, organisations and community groups who go above and beyond to make Harrow a healthier and happier place to live. They recognise the work being done to improve wellbeing across the borough and to make sure all residents have the chance to live healthy lives. The awards are also a way of thanking those who give their time and energy to support others and inspire positive change in the community.
The Cardiac Rehabilitation team was nominated by a patient in recognition of the support they provide to people recovering from heart conditions. Their work focuses on helping patients regain confidence, improve their health and make lasting lifestyle changes after a cardiac event.
The team offers a structured programme that includes exercise, education and ongoing support. They work closely with patients to help them understand their condition, manage their recovery and reduce the risk of future problems.
This award highlights the difference the team makes to people’s lives every day. Their commitment to patient care goes beyond clinical treatment, supporting individuals to feel more confident and in control of their health.
Maria Cracknell, Cardiology Clinical Service Lead and part of the team that won the award said:
“It was such an honour to have been nominated by our cardiology patient support group members for the Healthy Harrow Awards, and even more so for winning our category. There were around 350 nominations across all categories.
“It was both humbling and inspiring to be surrounded by remarkable individuals and teams who do great work for the residents of Harrow – and considering a lot of these teams and services are almost behind the scenes but are only ever put on the spotlight by the service-users who are truly grateful for the care they receive/received.”
The recognition reflects the dedication of the team and the positive impact they continue to have on the Harrow community.
