CLCH appoints new Chief People Officer
CLCH is pleased to announce that Ema Ojiako has been appointed as Chief People Officer.
The appointment was made following a formal and open recruitment process led by the CLCH Board.
Ema has extensive experience across NHS and independent healthcare organisations. She has operated at both national and system level within the NHS, having served as Executive People Director at Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board and held a senior HR role within NHS England.
In her role at CLCH, Ema will be responsible for delivering the Trust’s people strategy, improving the experience for colleagues working in the organisation.
Ema said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining CLCH as Chief People Officer at such a pivotal time for the organisation. As the NHS delivers its 10 Year Health Plan and shifts towards prevention, neighbourhood health and stronger community-based care, supporting and empowering our workforce to deliver compassionate, high-quality services has never been more important and I feel privileged to play a part in helping the organisation achieve these ambitions.”
Alongside her executive career, Ema holds a judicial appointment as an Employment Tribunal Non-Legal Member and is an experienced Charity Trustee and Non-Executive Director. She also contributes to global policy initiatives through her volunteer work with UN Women UK.
James Benson, Chief Executive Officer at CLCH, said: “I am delighted that Ema has been appointed as our Chief People Officer. She brings a wealth of experience across a range of healthcare organisations and will play a crucial role in empowering our colleagues to deliver high-quality, compassionate care that enables thriving communities.”
Ema will join the CLCH Board in late June.
