ANSWER: a number - eg. 10…  for each of the 6 years requested.

 

 

2 - Across your surgical teams, do you have any surgeons that are currently internally suspended from carrying out their duties at your Trust?

ANSWER: yes OR no

 

If you do have surgeons that are currently suspended, did you inform the GMC or is it an internal matter? 

ANSWER: GMC involved OR handled internally

 

If you do have surgeons that are currently suspended, did the RCS provide a report/advice/support in any capacity.  

ANSWER: yes OR no

These figures are based on incidents recorded on the Trust’s Datix risk management system and reflect those assessed as meeting the statutory Duty of Candour threshold in line with national guidance at the time of reporting.

 

Question 2:Across your surgical teams, do you have any surgeons that are currently internally suspended from carrying out their duties at your Trust?

Response:The Trust does not hold this information. Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust is a community services provider and does not employ surgical teams or surgeons.

Further Questions:If you do have surgeons that are currently suspended, did you inform the GMC or is it an internal matter?If you do have surgeons that are currently suspended, did the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) provide a report/advice/support in any capacity?

 

Response:As the Trust does not employ surgeons, these questions are not applicable as we are a Community Trust.
